Here we have an image of what appears to be rows of green and yellow watermelons. If you stare at the image it gives the illusion that the watermelons are starting to rotate.

This is a black and white photograph taken by a lady called Sha Sha Chu. The image is of a row of white columns but it also gives the illusion that you are looking at a row of human figures in black. Which image stands out the most to you? The columns or the human figures?

I think almost everyone has seen or heard about the way ostriches bury their heads in the sand - well this is an illusion of what appears to be a man with his head buried inside a wall. No wonder people passing by are looking at him! If you have ever had a bad day you will probably be able to relate to how the man in the picture is feeling. The artist who created this illusion is well known Mark Jenkins who specialises in street installations which he creates using packing tape and clothing.

This is one of those optical illusions where on first glance nothing much seems to be happening. But if you keep looking at it you can see it move, in fact it moves quite a lot as you will see for yourself.
