What is this a picture of, are we looking at a native American face looking off to the left or are we looking at the back of an eskimo in furs walking in the direction of the wind towards the right ?

I believe that this image is an eskimo walking into a dark cake carrying a lantern. Or it is an indian cheif. The eskimo's lantern type thing is the cheif's earing. The arm of the eskimo is the cheif's incredibly large nose. The cheif's hair is the eskimo's fur hood and the dark cave that the eskimo is walking into. The line around the head of the eskimo is the cheif's eye. The other arm of the eskimo is the cheif's ear. The eskimo's feet are the cheif's neck.

the native americans forehead is the eskimos hood - he's got his hood up, and i see him as standing facing a wall or something casting a shadow :)
